I tested rapidly the Porsche RSR yesterday on Montreal.
Aside my "taxi driver" level skills, I found it quite difficult to handle: understeer in some turns (for example the first left turn after starting line) and spin if I decrease gear with too high RPM.

Is there some setup parameters I can work on or I must learn to drive?

Hi Steve,

I'm not a 911 maniac either, but it requires a different driving style than a front-engine RWD car.
The biggest problem on downshifting should occur when you change from 3rd to 2nd. It's crucial to watch the rpm there and that you're not downshifting to soon.
First corner in Montreal is more difficult than it looks - if this is the only corner where you have severe problems regarding understeer, just slow down the speed on corner entry.
Basics in handling the 911 are crucial before you think about setup changes otherwise it gets you nowhere.

If you've managed to do a few clean and consecutive laps, you'll see what's to change on the setup.
And I'm pretty damn sure that the 911 masters here will give you a hand to make the right adjustments.

Thanks kinnunen, i did it another drive session yesterday.

The feeling is improved, it's not a too "horrible car" (a horribile car is that one difficult to drive for me ) .
I just reduced the final gear ratio and repeat silent prayers everytime I downshift from 3rd to 2nd.

Hehe, the discuson on this subject made me curious and I decided to try the IROC.
The setup menu doesn't provide too many options. If I remember well, I've ended up with: softest springs front/rear - rear ARB decreased by one click - only little changes on shocks and brake balance 60/40.
Requires a smooth driving style, but lets you take the last chicane in a straight line going hard over the curbs.
And what I forgot to mention: avoid abrupt and extreme lift offs.

Mit gleichem Material zu fahren find ich persönlich, hat immer was!
Irgendwie hab ich mich mit dem Boxenstop total verkaspert! Manchmal check ich das mit dem Verbrauch nicht so recht aber hey, ich bin mal in den Top ten bei einem Rennen länger 5 Runden
