There's a bug on the start/finish straight and on the box. The track became dark for few hundred meters. I guess this is something to do with the shades of the building there.

Some track objects on certain tracks cast very dark shadows, yes. If you turn down the 'Shadow' setting in the GTR2 video options from Full to High it'll be better.

(There's both 'Shader' and 'Shader Quality', 'Shader Quality' can remain on High setting)
