Mahlzeit!

Auf der damaligen P&G Homepage konnte man zwei PDFs herunterladen, die den GT40 und den 906 in allen Einzelheiten beschreiben. Auch die Reifenhersteller wurden in diesem Zusammenhang erwähnt. Vielleicht hilft das ja ein wenig weiter . . .
Hier ein Auszug:

Goodyear – the Blue Streak Sports Car Special comes in two varieties, a hard dry weather tyre and a softer all weather tyre. The all weather option provides more grip in the dry as well as the wet. The dry option is harder wearing and less prone to overheating in extreme circumstances.

Firestone - offered three options. The Indy is a very good dry weather tyre offering the best combination of grip and durability. The Super Sport GP R100 intermediate is best for light rain but is useable in the dry on the MkI provided it is not abused. The Super Sport GP R106 wet is very good in the wet – better than the Goodyear all-weather tyre - but it should not be used on a dry track as it will overheat.

Dunlop - have two options. The R7 yellow spot is a good all weather tyre, though lacking the grip of its US rivals. The harder R7 green spot is a back-up when durability is of prime importance or where tyres are subject to a lot of heating such as the Daytona banking.

. . . Natürlich gibt es da wieder unterschiedliche Ausführungen, je nach Fahrzeug und je nach Jahr, aber in den Grundeigenschaften dürften sich diese Eigenschaften durch alle Fahrzeuge ziehen.
